Finnish music in Poland in 2015

The year 2015 looks promising for fans of Finnish music in Poland. The celebration of the 150th anniversary of the birth of national Finnish composer Jean Sibelius, will surely please fans of classical music and also heavy music fans will have the opportunity to listen to Finnish performers, who visit Poland this year.

The celebration of the 150th anniversary of the birth of Jean Sibelius begin with concert of in Cracow Philharmonic Orchestra and Russian violinist Nikita Boriso-Glebski. Two concerts will take place on the 9th and 10th of January 2015. Mr. Janusz Kahl, honorary Consul of Finland in Kraków will be patron of this events.

Finnish heavy metal concerts begin horror-rock band Lordi. Masked musicians are the most famous winners of Eurovision Song Contest 2006 with the song "Hard Rock Hallelujah". Lordi will perform on February 1st at the Warsaw club Progresja, they will be promoting their new album "Scare Force One".

In May, Sonata Arctica band will visit Poland. Finnish band playing melodic power metal. The band will perform on May 14th in Kraków club Factory and on the 15th of May in Progresja Warsaw Club. Last year Sonata Arctica celebrated 15 years of performing.

Apocalyptica band will perform in Poland in October. Musicians combines elements of classical music with heavy metal.  Apocalyptica will play in Warsaw on October 7th in Warsaw and on October 8th in Kraków.
