Exhibiton by Alexander Krone

The Gallery of Foundation Atellier kindly invites for an opening of the exhibition by Alexander Krone When The Cold Reaches the Heart, which will be held on 17th of June 2011 at 7 pm.

'WHEN THE COLD REACHES THE HEART' is the second solo exhibition by Alexander Krone, showing new work based on and inspired by a one month stay at the artist retreat in Upernavik, Greenland. In his new work he explores the physical presence of the Arctic winter and the emotional responses in the body.
The work shows Alexander Krone's interest in finding relations between the physical and the emotional. Working with physical action or imagery of violence, he pursues a research of the animal nature of the human being.
The exhibiton will be opened until 17th of September, the Gallery is open to visitors from Monday to Saturday from 11:00 am to 6pm.


Alexander Krone is a Danish artist based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, where he studied and graduated from the Gerrit Rietveld Academie in 2009. The last years he has been in several residencies and exhibitions internationally.
This is his first exhibition in Poland, where he was artist-in-residence at Fundacja Atelier in the summer of 2010.
