Equinor Polska Sp. z o.o. - SPCC’s Patron

Equinor (formerly Statoil) is a group with a very rich tradition associated with broad spectrum of energy. In May 2018, we decided to change the name to Equinor, emphasising to make the transformation from a corporation associated only with oil and natural gas to a company positioned as one of the largest producers of energy, sourced from oil, natural gas, wind and solar.

Equinor has 21,000 dedicated employees producing energy in more than 30 countries around the world. We are the largest operator of oil and gas production facilities in Norway and the second largest gas supplier in Europe. We cover more than 20% of European gas demand. We are one of the world's largest operators of offshore wind farms and are gaining increasing importance in other renewable energy sectors.

Equinor has been present in Poland since 1991. In 2012, the retail part of the company (the petrol station chain) was sold to Couche-Tard (Circle K). In 2018, recognised the potential of offshore wind energy in the Baltic Sea, Equinor became involved in the offshore wind energy sector in Poland by offering its experience in the implementation of offshore wind farm projects.

Equinor's ambition is to strengthen Norwegian-Polish cooperation by sharing knowledge and experience to transform the Polish energy industry.
