More funds for Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego

23-10-2009

On October 23, 2009 the Sejm adopted a draft Act on Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego (“BGK”). Pursuant to the draft, the Minister of Finance may grant BGK a loan from the State Treasury so that the BGK may increase supplementary funds, and thus the BGK will have a new possibility to raise funds for its statutory activity.
The major purpose of BGK’s activity is to support social-economic programs of the government, especially projects relating to EU funds absorption, infrastructure and development of small and medium enterprises.
