Public access to offices via the Internet

12-04-2010

The Parliament accepted a new legislation which changes the act on computerization of activity of entities which perform public tasks. The accepted change still needs to be signed by the President.

The proposed changes will make it possible for the citizens and entrepreneurs to submit documents to offices by means of the Internet without the necessity to include the “secure electronic signature”. The changes also provide legal grounds for operation of electronic administration. For example, the provisions of tax law stipulate that an entrepreneur has the right to review the files concerning its case, to take relevant notes, copies or excerpts at the premises of a tax authority, in the presence of this authority’s employee. Owing to the proposed change entrepreneurs will have an on-line access to the letters submitted in the form of electronic documents and delivered in this form by the tax authority.
