Trial period for young drivers

17-01-2011

At the beginning of January of 2011 the Parliament has adopted an act on drivers. The act introduces i.a. an additional 2-year trial period for persons who have obtained a driving licence of B category for the first time. During that period young drivers will be subject to extensive supervision. The trial period for young drivers is common among others in Norway, Finland, Sweden, France, Germany and Great Britain.
The act will become binding one year after it is signed by the President and announced.
