New Finnish investment in Krapkowice

Metsä Tissue chooses Krapkowice as location for EUR55 million manufacturing investment.

The project envisages construction of two modern machines for paper production; a new, ecological gas heat and power plant; a processing workshop, a warehouse and modernisation of one of two Metsä Tissue machines located in Krapkowice. Opening of the new factory, which should start working by mid 2013, will not only increase the company’s output capacity by 35 thousand ton but will also expand the profile of the company's clients.

Metsä Tissue is a leading provider of a full range of toilet and facial tissues, household towels, tissue handkerchiefs, and napkins in Europe. The company ranks also among world leading producers of greaseproof papers.

The investor has factories located in Finland, Germany, Poland, Russia, Slovakia and Sweden. The company hires 3200 people and its revenues in 2010 amounted to EUR940 mln. Metsä Tissue forms part of the Metsaliitto Group. (NTO)
