| A COMMON VOICE OF THE CHAMBERS IN TERMS OF THE FUTURE DEVELOPMENT OF WIND ENERGY IN POLAND | In relation to the passing of the act on investments in wind farms, from the 16th of July, 2016, the Scandinavian-Polish Chamber of Commerce in cooperation with several other bilateral chambers of commerce submitted a letter to the Minister of Energy Mr. Krzysztof Tchórzewski on behalf of the foreign investors associated with the chambers who have contributed to the development of the wind energy sector in Poland over the course of the last decade. Our organizations have expressed their concern about the future of the wind energy sector according to the new laws passed. Chambers’ stance is that any changes made to the mechanism of creating and launching wind energy projects should both support the Polish renewable energy sector and protect rights of the foreign investors. International experiences indicate that to raise the level of social acceptance renewable energy could be developed through participation systems of local communities. Chambers of Commerce in Poland believe that thanks to the stabilization of legal regulations for the renewable energy environment, Poland still has a chance to improve its energy safety and to create multiple local “green” workplaces.
