The number of persons unemployed went down across the Nordic region

Unemployment showed signs of improvement across the Nordic region in July as Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Finland released their latest data on Wednesday and Thursday.

In Sweden the jobless rate dropped in July to 7.9 percent against 9.8 percent in June.
The first marking fall since June 2008 occurred in Denmark where unemployment dropped to 3.7 percent in July from 3.8 percent in June.
Meanwhile Finland, the only Nordic country in the eurozone, experienced a drop to 7.7 percent in July against 9.1 percent in June.
 Norway, which announced that it emerged from recession in the second quarter of 2009, reported no change in its unemployment rate which remained at 3.0 percent in July.
