New transport corridor between Poland and Sweden

18-01-2010

Sweden  will start new,  large investment. They are going to build transport corridor linking Poland with Scandinavia. Reconstruction of the railway lines, terminals and loading jetty will cost about 111 million euros.
The concept of the transport corridor linking Poland  with Sweden is very old. It includes ferry, railway lines and roads, including Poland, resulting in the A-1. The corridor will be part of the trans-European communication between Norway and the coast of the Adriatic. Running the shortest route through Poland, corridor  will bypass congested regions of Germany.  The EU will support this investment.
