According to earlier information, Husqvarna  will build a new factory  where self-propelled mowers and garden products  will be produced.  The new factory will be based in Mielec.

All legal and environmental formalities have been completed and investment will  start soon.  It is planned to start production in new factory till the end of 2010. The project is conducted in close cooperation with local authorities, which gave full support to the professionalism and commitment at this stage of the investment

The investment will be implemented in the EPCM system (Engineering-Procurement-Construction Management).
The value of planned investments is approximately SEK 250 million. The new plant will be built based on the latest solutions used for the implementation of objects in the world. In the first phase of production it is planned to employ  about 100 employees.

For Husqvarna, Poland is one of the most important markets in Europe.  After analysis of various options for selecting the place for investment, Husqvarna has decided that the factory  will be built in Poland, due to: location in Central Europe, the rapid and dynamic development of infrastructure and the experience and commitment of staff.
