Ericsson: 90% of the Polish population in the range of LTE already in 2014

The agreement signed by Polkomtel and Aero2 with Ericsson, will significantly speed up the development of the LTE network.

The agreement with Ericsson, which is the first of two suppliers responsible for developing the high-speed Internet network LTE, is to ensure that around 20 LTE stations will be commissioned on a weekly basis this fall. The contract for supply and maintenance of LTE and WCDMA networks has been signed for a period of 3 years. It regards the northern and western part of Poland. 

Ericsson has also committed to a full cooperation with suppliers of hardware and software for Plus and Aero2. Currently, negotiations are held with several other potential suppliers of network elements, among them is the company Huawei which has been a preferred partner so far.
