Production for the business sector increased by 0.9 percent in August compared with July in seasonally adjusted figures. Comparing August with the same month in the previous year, production for the business sector increased by 3.7 percent in working day adjusted figures.

Industrial production increased by 4.0 percent in August compared with July. At the same time service production and production in construction decreased by 0.1 and 0.5 percent respectively. Business production as a whole increased by 0.9 percent in August compared with the previous month.

During the last three-month period June-August, production increased by 0.7 percent compared with the previous period.

In working day adjusted figures, production for the business sector increased by 3.7 percent in August compared with the same month last year. The rise in industrial production made the biggest contribution to the rise in business production with a 6.3 percent increase.
