The Norwegian artists will be visiting Łódź

Central Museum of Textiles in Łódź (6-8 May.) Will host the 14th International Triennial of Tapestry, an exhibition about the nature of the competition, presenting the achievements of fiber art artists. This year will be attended by 132 artists from 50 countries, including three artists from Norway. Norwegian Embassy will be a patron of this event. The exhibition runs until November 3, 2013. The exhibition will present the work varied, from classic trim to the spatial forms, or even equipment, from heavy to light Azura tapestries, from figurative forms, depicting - the different types of abstractions. This year, Norway will be represented by three artists: Jorunn Steffensen from Skien. Her work is characterized by clean, minimalist idiom, in which color, size, geometry and abstraction are the main ingredients of the composition. Siri Berqvam from Sandefjord. She creates her works with everyday materials, which in its presentation, take on a different meaning. Runa Boger from Oslo.
