Danfoss opens new factory

Danfoss, a Danish producer of heating and air conditioning systems wants to invest 65 million PLN and plans to create 250 workplaces.
Danfoss, a partnership with Danish capital, forms part of an international Danfoss Group. The company, which manufactures heat pumps, heating and air conditioning systems, obtained the business activity permit to operate in the Lodz SEZ in November 2007 and as of June 2007 it has already invested round 40 million PLN and hired 150 employees. In fact, the Danish investor developed an already existing factory by constructing production and storage premises. Now the production facility which measures 6500 sq m and is equipped with modern production lines is estimated to produce around 30 thousand heat pumps a year, 95% if which is destined for EU markets.

The company declares further investments that may reach 65 million PLN by 2012, wants to boost the factory’s capacity and create at least 250 new jobs.
