Sokolka Okna i Drzwi, the Polish window and door producer, wants to become no. 1 in Poland. The plan is to be achieved by acquisitions.
The Polish producer wants to become no. 1 in the country. Inwido Sverige, its investor and the biggest producer in Sweden, is going to support the company. Inwido bought Sokolka which had financial troubles in July. Now, the Swedish company provides funds for further growth.

”We are one of the main players but within 2-3 years we want to be no. 1 in Poland as far as window and door production is concerned. Thanks to Inwido, we will invest in development, new technologies, bigger capacity. This and next year, we will spend PLN 14m (EUR 3.7m)”, Janusz Majchrzak, Sokolka CEO said.

He added that the biggest players have 5 percent market shares. Sokolka hopes to have 10 percent thanks to consolidation.
“Inwido wants to become a leader on every market it enters. The Polish market has been evaluated as attractive. I think, that consolidation is on the agenda. Inwido has built its power thanks to acquisitions. It acts analogously on the other markets. The pace will be different but the process is inevitable”, Janusz Majchrzak said.
“There will be acquisitions. These are going to be investments in companies producing wooden windows and doors because they are the most popular ones in Scandinavia”, Zdzislaw Maliszewski from the Association Polish Windows and Doors estimated.
