LOOK! POLISH PICTUREBOOK! Presentation in Aarhus

Aarhus, 1-02-2018

Exhibition LOOK! POLISH PICTUREBOOK! will be presented in Denmark in February, in the Dokk1 library – learning, cultural and social center of Aarhus, as well as the biggest public library in Scandinavia, open in 2015.

Polish picturebook for children has a rich tradition dating back to 50’s, 60’s and 70’s when Polish illustrators were constantly and with huge success present at the international book graphics arena.

From the beginning of the 21st century Polish book illustration – including picturebook – has developed dynamically, drawn from tradition and set high standards with its ingenuity and original beauty.

LOOK! POLISH PICTUREBOOK! shows the tradition’s richness and diverse, attractive modernity, it presents the achievements of both Masters of Illustration and artists of the middle and younger generations that have won numerous international awards.

The exhibition will be accompanied by richly illustrated publication LOOK! POLISH PICTUREBOOK!, where one can find out more about Polish picturebooks.
