Baker & McKenzie is among the best law offices in Poland

19-10-2007

According to this year’s edition of the International Financial Law Review (IFLR 1000) guide to law offices specialising in servicing capital markets, Baker & McKenzie’s Warsaw office was recognised as one of the leading law offices in servicing capital markets in Poland.  The Law Office was also recognised for the following practices: banking, mergers and acquisitions and project finance.  In addition, five lawyers from this law office received individual recommendations in six categories.

The capital markets practice received the highest recommendation, mainly because of the outstanding achievements of Konrad Konarski, who was recognised primarily for the excellent adaptation of legal solutions to ongoing client problems during such important operations for them as stock exchange debuts.

In addition, the following were individually awarded: Attorney Marcin Gmaj in mergers and acquisitions, Dr. Andrzej Tynel - twice - in commercial arbitration and in dispute settlement, Attorney Jur Gruszczyński in project financing, Attorney Małgorzata Pietrzak-Paciorek in real estate law and Sławomir Boruc in tax law.

Alongside Legal 500 and Chambers Global, the International Financial Law Review Ranking (IFLR 1000) is one of the most important lists of law offices in the world.  The ranking presents lists in 4 financial categories: Banking and Finance, Capital Markets, Mergers and Acquisitions and Project Finance.
