On January 11, 2009 Regulation No. 864/2007 of the European Parliament and the EU Council entered into force. The regulation regulates the issue of which law is applicable in the case of non-contractual obligations, such as cases of obligations resulting from prohibited actions, unjustified enrichment, conducting another person’s matters without a mandate and faults in contracting (culpa in contrahendo) connected with the laws of various member states.
The regulation is directly binding and it does not pre-suppose additional legislation for enforcement  within the Polish legal system.
