Rise in minimum salary

25-02-2010

In 2010 employees employed full-time must earn at least PLN 1,317. It is the minimum salary as defined in the announcement of the President of the Council of Ministers of July 24, 2009. The previous year, the minimum salary amounted to PLN 1,276. The rise in the minimum salary may mean that employers should provide annexes to employment contracts to those employees who work against the lowest salary binding in 2009. The rise in the minimum salary will affect the value of some other employment benefits, e.g. additional remuneration for employees working on the night-shift will increase.
