At the beginning of March Sejm accepted the change in law relating to increasing the number of areas which would be covered with the ban on smoking, so that they now include most of public places (i.a. places of employment, hotels, restaurants, discotheques, sport facilities). The same concerns the ban on tobacco advertisements as well as defining the technical and sanitary requirements for separation of rooms exclusively for smoking tobacco e.g. in restaurants and discotheques.
The changes approved by Sejm are less radical than the original project.

The act has now been passed to the Senat and later it will be presented to the President.
