On September 19 elections to the Riksdag (the Swedish parliament) , the municipalities and to the county councils will be held in Sweden. During the current electoral period (2006-2010) seven political parties are represented in the Riksdag:

1. The Social Democratic Party (SocDem), 130 seats
2. The Moderate Party (Mod), 96 seats
3. The Centre Party (Cen), 28 seats
4. The Liberal Party (Lib), 28 seats
5. The Christian Democrats (ChrDem), 24 seats
6. The Left Party (Lft), 22 seats
7. The Green Party (Grn), 19 seats.
