At the beginning of November 2010, the government approved the daft changes to the Civil Code. At the next stage, the draft will be discussed by the Parliament. The changes refer to new regulations on matters concerning the so-called transmission appliances. The term stands for the appliances which are used to supply or dispose of i.a. gases, power, appliances of telecommunication infrastructure or appliances for railway traffic. The most important change is that some provisions have been made more specific, and so the ownership of transmission appliances will be ascertained by the fact who has paid for their construction. Such costs may be borne by an owner of a real estate, a transmission enterprise or other party.
