The Sejm accepted the Senate’s correction to the act concerning among others the amendment of VAT states binding in Poland in the years 2011-2013.

Beginning with 2011 the VAT rate will amount to 23% (now it is 22%). Two new decreased rates of 5% and 8% will be set for some categories of goods (now: 3% and 7%). The only thing missing for the amendments to become binding is the signature of the President and release of the amendments in the Polish Journal of Laws.
