III European Economic Congress

The Congress is a three-day cycle of debates, meetings and accompanying events with participation of around 4500 Polish and foreign guests. Panelists will take part in over 60 sessions and discussions, scope of topics concerns the most significant issues for economic and social development of Europe. The head of Programme Coucil will be still the President of European Parliament Jerzy Buzek.

The European Economic Congress, organized by PTWP SA Group has become undoubtedly over only three years the most important economic event in Central Europe.

The leading topic of next Congress will be competitive European economy. Together with panelists and guests we will reflect on what actions have to be undertaken, which processes need to be launched, which priorities we should focus on so that European economy can compete successfully with the most expansive economies of Asia and both Americas.

The crucial aspect of striving for competitiveness is the question of institutional reform of the EU which needs to function more efficiently and effectively. New EU order is opening another scope of Congress topics – covering problems of public finance, new EU budget perspective, processes of stabilization of EU members economies

Participation in the IIIrd Edition of the European Economic Congress has been confirmed by many notable guests : Jerzy Buzek, President of the European Parliament, Janusz Lewandowski - European Commissioner for Financial Programming and the Budget, Petr Nečas - Prime Minister of the Czech Republic, Iveta Radičová - Prime Minister of the Slovak Republic and top-level Polish politicians: Elżbieta Bieńkowska - Minister for Regional Development, Michał Boni - Minister, Member of the Council of Ministers, Aleksander Grad -  Minister of Treasury, Andrzej Kraszewski - Minister of Environment, Waldemar Pawlak - Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of the Economy, Lech Wałęsa - President of the Republic of Poland in 1990-1995.
