17th International Jazz at the Old Square Festival

Warsaw, Old Town Square , Saturdays in July and August 2011, free admission. International stars (including Tord Gustavsen Ensemble from Norway) premiere events and jazz discoveries - great concerts throughout the summer in Warsaw.

This event is one of the most popular jazz festivals in Poland. It is also an artistic representation of Warsaw as well as a great attraction for music lovers and tourists from Poland and abroad. Over 15 years of its existence, the festival had an impressive half a million of viewers of all ages.

This year the Festival will be opened by Norwegians - Tord Gustavsen Ensemble, one of the most creative and innovatory pianists in Europe. The programme of the Festival also includes three other Norwegian performers: Tingvall Trio (16th of July), Steinar Aadnekvam Quartet (30th of July) and Caecilie Norby Quartet - considered as "Diva" of Scandinavian vocals, often compared to Aretha Franklin and Dinah Washington - she will perform on 20th of August.
