Handelsbanken: Activities in Poland is expanding

12-02-2007

Handelsbanken Poland, which is part of the Swedish banking group Svenska Handelsbanken, has successfully been operating on the Polish market since 1997. Today the bank offers a full range of products for both corporate and private customers through its branches in Warsaw, Gdańsk and Poznań. Now the expansion continues.

“Poland is a very interesting market for Handelsbanken. Our current three branches have been very successful in attracting and maintaining good customers. This is why we now take the next step, and plan to open a number of new branches in some of the major cities around the country” - says Mikael Sorensen, General Manager of Handelsbanken Poland.

When and where the new branches will be opened depends on where the bank can find the right people to employ.

According to Handelsbanken’s decentralized philosophy the local branch has the total responsibility for each of its customers. “That is why it is so important to recruit good local bankers. In Handelsbanken we always want our customers to be more satisfied than those of our competitors. We simply want to be the best bank in town”- Mikael Sorensen adds.

The new branches will be offering Handelsbanken’s full range of services and products to both corporate and private customers – including the most flexible mortgage loan on the Polish market.
