Ericsson, PLAY and Legia Warszawa have signed a letter of intent, under which the stadium of Legia will become one of the best-equipped facilities in Europe, and PLAY customers will be able to use special zones with 5G technology. Thus, the Legia stadium will gain access to 3G and 4G technologies, which will be used by all mobile network users and will be one of the first sports facilities equipped with 5G. A comprehensive approach to the cellular infrastructure of the stadium will ensure a fast data flow and, as a result, will enable fans to provide exclusive content in the highest quality.

The three partners will work together to create a new quality of digital services for fans through improved connectivity and innovative stadium services. Innovative digital products will be available not only at matches, but also at other events taking place at Łazienkowska 3.

After the completion of the project, Legia will have one of the most modern stadiums in Europe, where it will be possible to transmit data thanks to the use of the highest technological standards. Throughout Ericsson and PLAY, they will install infrastructure supporting 3G and 4G networks, and PLAY subscribers in certain zones will be able to use 5G technology. Legia, thanks to the development of its application and other digital services, will present to the fans new, exclusive content for mobile devices.
