"Art worth more than gold"
Warsaw is currently hosting an exhibition of works by Anna Bilińska, one of the first Polish female painters to take the world of art by storm. This is a good opportunity to talk about some interesting cases from the art scene.
We will discuss:
- Which of the Polish artists worked for an Indian maharaja and what was the outcome?
- What was so special about the Polish woman whose Parisian salon was frequented by artists such as Modigliani and Picasso?
- What was the fate of the Polish works of art that went to the New York World's Fair in 1939?
- How are famous and successful women changing the art market?
The meeting will be hosted by Hanna DzieliĹ„ska – a journalist, Warsaw guide, author of online intercity (quarantine) walks, books on culture and the city, as well as a populariser of culture and art. Hania is also involved in keeping cultural and artistic life vibrant and alive – she organizes the production of documentaries and reportages and cooperates with districts and cultural institutions in the creation of historical publications. Hania has also led the scientific club of History of Art Students and has published her own series of adventure games for children and adults.
The meeting will be held in Polish.
