KPMG: "No Printing Day" Campaign

2-10-2012

Every day all around the world, an enormous amount of paper is used by the companies, institutions and individuals. With printers everywhere, at home, in school and in the office, very often without any reflection on whether all printouts are indeed neccessary. Printing has become a part of everyday life, yet every printed sheet of paper contributes to global deforestation.

KPMG in Poland is intiating a No Printing Day, campaign aimed at encouraging companies, institutions and individuals to refrain from printing during one day of each year and this year this is on October 5th. We believe that if we can turn off our printers for one day, so can companies in Poland and other countries all around the world. Thanks to such effort, we will be able to save thousands of trees and to contribute to the protection of the environment.
Participation in the campaign is free of charge. Companies and institutions may join the campaign by registering at the NoPrintingDay.pl website. Individuals who want to participate may do so on Facebook.

To boost the impact of the No Printing Day initative on the environment, KPMG in Poland - as the organizer of the campaign - will also plant real trees. The more entities that join the campaign, the more trees will be planted.

October 5th, 2012 - turn off your printers and join the No Printing Day campaign!

SPCC is a Patron of the campaign.
