Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised Mid Europa Partners, the leading private equity investor in Central and South Eastern Europe, on the sale of Żabka Polska to funds advised by CVC Capital Partners.

 

"This landmark deal in the Polish market showcases the strength of our private equity practice in EMEA as well as our strong relationship with Mid Europa, which has been built on the support we've provided for a series of successful transactions in recent years," said Warsaw-based White & Case partner Marcin Studniarek.

 

White & Case was responsible for coordinating the sale process of the shares of Żabka Polska S.A. and preparing and negotiating the transaction documents. Finalization of the transaction depends on obtaining the consent of the antimonopoly authorities and is expected to be completed in Q2 2017.

It is the largest ever transaction in the Polish food retail sector and the largest ever private equity exit in Poland.
