IKEA Retail sp. z o.o. : completes expansion of the largest furniture production complex in the world

IKEA Industry has completed the expansion of its factory in ZbÄ…szynek, Poland. The site is now the largest furniture production complex in the world. The factory will manufacture IKEA furniture from the popular EKET series. The ceremonial opening, with the participation of employees, the board and the local community, took place on May 9, 2019.

IKEA Industry in ZbÄ…szynek specializes in the production of furniture from cellular boards. The newly opened part of the plant produces furniture from the popular EKET series in six color variants: white, light and dark gray, as well as new in golden-brown, red and imitation oak stained in white. The maximum capacity of the hall is 125,000 pieces of furniture per week, doubled after the expansion. Currently, production in the factory has reached the level of 95% of production capacity. The EKET series furniture manufactured in the Polish factory is delivered to IKEA stores in 52 markets around the world.

IKEA Industry ZbÄ…szynek

IKEA Industry Zbąszynek is the largest furniture production complex in the world. It is made up of factories in Zbąszynek, Zbąszyń and Babimost. The first plant was established in 1992 on the basis of local Furniture Cooperatives. Currently, over 600 kinds of IKEA furniture are made here, including EKET series storage furniture, LACK series tables and children's furniture from the STUVA series. The plant employs over 3,400 employees.
