Mr.Arkadiusz Prejna, President of the Board of Transpoint International (PL),  about the 10th anniversary of the company in Poland.
b
Ladies and Gentlemen,
b
This month our company - Transpoint International (PL) Sp. z o.o.  is having the 10th anniversary of operating in Poland.
A decade, especially these days, is a long period that constitutes our own history.
Our company was established on 14 September 2001.
It was known as SP Transit Poland Sp. z o.o. – as a part of SP Transit Finland Oy and SP Transit Estonia OÜ, whose main shareholder was a Finnish enterpreneur Lasse Jokinen.
At the beginning the strategic transportation directions were Finland, Baltic States and the rest of Scandinavia.
Few people in little office in Warsaw and a rented cross-docking warehouse, started carrying groupage, part load and full load transportation services. Experience, high quality of services, competitive prices, individual and exceptional care of the customers, were the factors contributing to fast development of the company in Poland.  Our customers and partners were, and still are, some of the well-known Scandinavian firms – most of which are also members of SPCC.
A turning point in our history was the change of ownership that took place in 2007. As a result, SP Transit was taken over by one of the biggest logistics companies in Finland - Pohjolan Liikenne Oy, being a part of VR Finnish Railways.
Moreover, SP Transit changed name and logo – since then, we are known as a  Transpoint International (PL ) Sp. z o.o. Entering large, dynamic, international establishment with own modern fleet, developed distribution network and experienced business proffesionals, gave us an amazing opportunity to grow and expand into Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Great Britain.

Exceeding growing expectations and  demands of customers, Transpoint International (PL) was transforming and changing from typical transportation company into logistics operator, that is able to offer transportation and logistics solutions in one package.
In 2008, we managed to realize our biggest Polish investment – a logistics center, near Radzymin, close to via Baltica road (around 20km north-east of Warsaw). It has 6700sqm, a high-storage warehouse and  modern offices. To our customers we offer full-service warehousing, logistics and domestic distribution of goods.

In 2010, the structural changes were completed and all the shares of Pohjolan likkene Oy, so the Transpoint International shares too,  were sold to VR Group Finnish Railways.

Nowadays, we are a part of the biggest logistics companies in Finland, which is also a leading railway operator in Scandinavia.

What’s more, in 2010 VR Group recorded total revenue of 1422 million Euro, with a workforce of around 12.000 people in Finland and other european countries. Out of total revenue, 576 million Euro accounts for cargo and logistics, and out of this amount, 252 million Euro accounts for road transportation.

In addition to that, VR Group has a network of offices and warehouses all over the: Finland, Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Great Britain and Russia.

These days, Transpoint in Poland has 4 main offices in: Warsaw, DÄ…brówka, Katowice and Gdynia. 30 million Euro of planned revenue for 2011 together with 60 employees, makes Transpoint International (PL) one of the fastest growing parts of VR Group.  Our main aim is to become a leader in transportation between Poland and Scandinavia, especially Finland. We provide wide range of services starting from transportation of small packages, to full load or oversize packs.

We cooperate with large, medium and small enterprises. The model of collaboration is based on partnership, and usually is a long-term effort.

b
We would like to thank all our clients-partners for many years of good and fruitful cooperation. Special thanks are for those of you that are with us from the SP Transit times.

Cooperation with you gave us an amazing opportunity to grow in a hectic and demanding logistics field. It turned out, that coming up to expectations and having clear goals, made us reliable and worth trust of Scandinavian companies.
b

Best regards,

b
Arkadiusz Prejna

President of the Board of Transpoint International (PL)
