Scania Polska: new Citywide LF buses for Konin

11-10-2017

8 new low-emission Scania Citywide 12 LF buses will be delivered to the Municipal Transport Authority in Konin under an agreement signed in early October.

Low-entry, low-floor Scania Citywide buses are adapted for the transport of people with disabilities. The 12-meter vehicles have air conditioning and are equipped with ticket vending machines, LCD screens and monitoring. The buses comply with the Euro 6 emission standard, and the engine compartment has a fire detection and extinguishing system. The buses will be delivered by December 15, 2017. The contract value is close to PLN 10 million.

- Scania Citywide 12LF is a versatile city which ensures both driver and passenger comfort. What distinguishes it is the premium interior, which is very modern and well insulated from outside noise. In addition, our buses are renowned for their exceptionally low operating costs and low CO2 emissions - commented Artur Wojtowicz, regional bus sales manager for Scania Polska S.A.

Scania's cooperation with Konin spans over the last 20 years. The first tender in this city was held in 1996 and involved the delivery of 10 low-cost Scania MaxCi buses. In the years 2006 - 2009, the local MTA purchased 7 Scania OmniCity vehicles.

Scania Citywide buses are available in a variety of configurations, ranging from 10.9 to 18 meters. The contractor can choose any layout and length of the vehicle that best suits the particular transport needs.
