Volvo Polska Sp. z o.o. - SPCC’s Patron

1.    What brought your company/organization to Poland?
Volvo Trucks brand is present in more than 140 countries, which is truly a global presence. As for Poland, Volvo trucks have been known here for more than 60 years already - we started selling trucks to Poland already at the end of 1940s. The formal establishment of Volvo Trucks’ company here in Poland, which took place in 1993, was a natural step in our company’s expansion and further development of our business relations with the Polish market.

2.    Scandinavian values in your company – how they are perceived and implemented?
As we all know, Scandinavian culture has been heavily influenced by the region’s geographical location and the laws of nature. Our peripheral location at the northern edge of Europe has meant that we have had to develop solutions to problems in our own way, sometimes with limited resources. This fact, coupled with the harsh climate, has resulted in giving priority to things that are durable, practical, simple and long-lasting. Volvo has a tradition of creating products and objects designed in such a way that they fulfil the criteria imposed on them by the conditions that apply in Scandinavia, therefore exceeding, in many cases, the expectations in other parts of the world. Volvo, being one of the world’s best known and most respected brand names, is built on core values that have been nurtured for decades – quality, safety and environmental care. Those core values guide us in everything we do – from design and manufacturing, to service and support.  Our goal is clear: to offer the most efficient, reliable and profitable transport solutions for customers’ specific needs – while helping to build a more sustainable future at the same time.

3.    How do you see the future of your business/industry in Poland?
Volvo Trucks’ business in Poland has been well established and developed for many years already. Irrespective of this fact,  we continuously develop further with the aim of being with our products and services as close to our customers as possible. We work hard and invest a lot to be able to meet growing customer expectations and needs, when it comes to providing them with effective and optimal total transport solutions. Our aim is being not just a vehicle supplier, but also the best business partner, who contributes to their success.  We are very optimistic about our future here and have ambitious plans concerning our further growth in Poland - being one of the biggest markets for us in this part of the world. The same for the whole industry. After all, we all depend on trucks – one of the most important and efficient transport means.

4.    What your organization gains from being the SPCC member?
We are very pleased with this membership, as we find the SPCC to be a very professional and member driven platform for the productive business partnership and networking. The Chamber is very proactive, flexible and offers its members, on regular basis, the possibility of being a part of various projects and activities. By joining some of those SPCC events and business meetings, especially those which are relevant to our industry, our employees have a chance of establishing new contacts as well as exchanging their experience and knowledge with other participants, which is always a valuable practise.
